This tour is the perfect way to experience Sedona and the Grand Canyon in one day. Sedona will be our first stop along the tour, where you will have a chance to photograph the famous red rocks, stretch your legs and take a quick walk around this picturesque town. While you are enjoying Sedona, your guide will pick up your freshly made gourmet picnic lunch which you will have pre-ordered that morning. From Sedona, the tour passes through Oak Creek Canyon, a scenic byway that winds through 2,000 vertical feet of a red walled canyon to emerge surrounded by the dense ponderosa pines of the Coconino National Forest. Atop the Mogollon Rim, we will travel the outskirts of the Route 66 town of Flagstaff on our way to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Just before entering the Grand Canyon National Park, you will be checked in for your 45 minute helicopter flight, spanning over 90 miles of the Grand Canyon. After your flight, your DETOURS guide will bring you back into the National Park to discover more by foot. Next, you will explore the scenic 30-mile section of road that winds east along the rim of the canyon, showcasing the best rim views and history along the way.
Before returning to the Phoenix area, guests will be treated to a stop in the Navajo Nation at a prominent trading post. You will be able to get a glimpse into the past, view high quality authentic Navajo artwork and craft work, as well as a gift shop to bring back souvenirs for friends and family.
