Group size
Our vehicles are designed to carry up to 13 passengers on individual leather captains’ seats, and groups range from 8-13 passengers. This tour can also be operated as a private charter for groups from 2-13 passengers for an additional cost.

The hotel in Sedona will be 3-4 stars. The accommodation has been chosen to give passengers the best access to the Sedona area. For those traveling alone there single occupancy rates available.

Activity Levels
This tour offers a wide range of walking opportunities, which require a reasonable level of fitness mostly due to possible elevation changes. The level of activity can be suited to and catered for almost all levels of fitness. It is not an activity holiday, just an active holiday.

Health and Vaccinations
It is imperative that you have both a dental and medical check-up and we recommend that you ensure your Tetanus inoculations are up to date. Our drivers and guides are first aid qualified and a comprehensive medical kit is carried at all times.

Baggage Allowance
Individual luggage must be kept to a maximum of one piece of luggage less than 50 pounds or one daypack less than or equal to 40 litres. It is recommended to travel with a small day pack for easy access to camera, sun block, and clothing. It is recommended to plan ahead and arrange to store bulky items pre-tour. We advise our clients to pack as lightly as possible.

Spring offers all four seasons depending on elevation. Temperatures during the tour may range from a high of 70-85°F in the day to a low of 40-55°F at night. October temperatures for this area range from a high’s around 70-80°F, but may drop into the 30’s at night.

Day 1:
Departing from Las Vegas, we will embark on our tour taking advantage of the morning light as we head east to the Colorado Plateau. Our route will take us through the Virgin River Gorge and through Alpine forests at Cedar Breaks National Monument for a taste of things to come. Our destination is Bryce Canyon National Park for a short walk in the late afternoon light and for sunset overlooking the incredible formations below Sunset Point.

Day 2:
The view at sunrise from the edge of Bryce Canyon changes rapidly as the light spreads over the sandstone formations. Today we head onto one of the most scenic and isolated routes in North America, The Grand Staircase/Escalante National Monument. There will be time to hike the famous Calf Creek Trail in the Grand Staircase if you so wish. We then continue along Highway 12, rising to the Aspen forests of Boulder Mountain and to our unique hotel near Capitol Reef National Park.

Day 3:
Following a short stroll in Capitol Reef National Park and a memorable organic farm lunch stop, the tour heads east past the Henry Mountains, through the San Rafael Swell, across the Green River, and into the Colorado River Basin at Moab. There will be time to enjoy the resort facilities and the views of the stunning cliffs and river. The lodge offers many activities for a real Western experience.

Day 4:
Everybody will have the opportunity to hike to the famous Delicate Arch for sunrise, which is moderately strenuous and worth every effort. Those wishing a less strenuous walk can access a lower trail with a fantastic view of this Utah icon. This is followed by a wonderful walk into the Devil’s Garden which features several famous Arches and viewpoints.

You can enjoy the Lodge surroundings and facilities or wander around Moab this afternoon, before we head to Dead Horse Point State Park, for a remarkable afternoon and sunset experience overlooking Canyonlands National Park, above the confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers. The panorama will take your breath away! Everyone can find their own space along the rim trail and take it all in.

Day 5:
An early morning start will send us south to Natural Bridges National Monument for a short stroll and to Goosenecks State Park for lunch. The drive down the amazing Moki Dugout into the Valley of the Gods is breathtaking! After crossing the San Juan River we enter the Navajo Nation and finish the day at Monument Valley Tribal Park on the Navajo Nation. We will be joined by a Navajo guide who will escort us into the valley for a memorable late afternoon tour of this very sacred place.

Day 6:
We will have the opportunity to experience sunrise over Monument Valley before heading east across the northern Navajo Nation. Antelope Canyon, with the twisting, narrow sandstone ‘slot’ canyon, is an adventurer’s paradise and a wonder to behold. A Navajo guide will escort us into this incredible place. After a short hike to Horseshoe Bend on the Colorado River, it is a scenic drive to Lees Ferry and the Vermillion Cliffs for a visit to the Zero Mile of Grand Canyon. From the Vermillion Cliffs, our route climbs to the Ponderosas of the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park for unforgettable vistas at Cape Royal and Point Imperial.

Day 7:
We will spend the morning exploring the viewpoints, rim trails, visitor’s center, or hiking into Bright Angel Canyon to experience what’s below the rim. At over 1000 feet higher than the South Rim, and with far fewer visitors, the North Rim is truly a special place. After our time in the Grand Canyon, the tour heads back into Utah, with an unforgettable scenic drive to Zion National Park, and our lodgings at the base of Zion’s towering cliffs. Zion National Park offers a free shuttle system for maximum flexibility and freedom.

Day 8:
Numerous trails are available today using the shuttles, such as the Narrows, Weeping Rock, Virgin River Trail, Emerald Pools, and Angels Landing for those looking for a more challenging hike. There are also Natural History courses and guided Ranger walks and activities available. You will be spoiled for choice! There is a hosted dinner tonight to say goodbye.

Day 9:
Today we head back into the Mojave Desert through and transfer to the Las Vegas airport to connect to your flight, or to your hotel for post tour accommodation. Please do not schedule flights with departures prior to 3:00pm.
